Recently, Shaant Hacikyan the vocalist of CIWWAF, posted a bulletin on his myspace saying he was gay:

'I閳ユ獫e been thinking about how to say this for awhile. And it makes me feel like I閳ユ獡 still in high school because I keep second-guessing myself. And my lips are quivering as I type this, but they seem to be doing a lot of that lately. I am gay. Not straight. Not bi. I know this is weird to say, but I feel like my life was a lie up until now. So there you have it, I gope[sic] you srill[sic] feel the same about me, but if you don閳ユ獩 then I閳ユ獡 not affected. This is who I am.'

Does this bother you or lessen the bands appeal?

i personally dont care and still love them for the music :-)

I love CIWWAF and it would be the stupidset thing ever to stop listening to music I love cos I found out the lead singer was gay.

Though my friend is gonna be gutted when I tell her. She had this future planed for them two together - lol.

By the way, on his myspace it says he's straight and its just a rumour.

It doesn't bother me at all. Actually I don't care if he's gay, straight, bi...the whole point for me is the music and not the sexuality of the people behind it. And the fact that he can admit it and not keep it from his fans makes me have a whole lot of respect for him.

No one should care,

A guy's sexuality should not affect any thing. Just because he has 'come out' doesn;t mean that he will change or the band will change. They will keep making the same good music and every CIWWAF fan should stick by the band. These could be hard times for him and his fans should be there to support him.

It will not affect my thoughts on the band, they rock!
