I have been wondering for ever how people make those really cute icons so i wanted to know how can i make my own?

googling "icon editor" yields 59 million possibilities.

I use KIconEdit on my Linux system.

You can use a screen grabber to bring others' icons in and see how theirs' were done.

For that I use KSnapshot (Linux again)

On Windows pressing the PrtScrn copies the screen to the clipboard. You can then paste it into Paint or whatever, crop the area you want and copy that to your icon editor.

Once you 'like' get the hang of it, it is fun.
